Attention GTA Residents: Water in the Greater Toronto Area is treated with a combination of chlorine and ammonia called chloramine. If you are a resident of GTA, select appropriate option below. Please, note that both Mississauga and Oakville, as well as Durham region use chlorine, not chloramines. For more information on where chloramines are used, please see Water FAQ's (under Help section).

Regular Rhino does also remove chloramines, but the total capacity will be reduced to 220,000 gallons. If you want to get the full 300,000 gallons, you should choose the chloramine option below - $60 surcharge.

4 stage filtration process supplies superior water quality throughout the entire household. Comes complete with main filter unit, sediment pre-filter, installation kit and required hardware.
Typical installation takes about 1½ - 2½ hours if performed by a licensed plumber, at an average cost of $250.00 to $350.00.

Filtration Process

Stage 0. Is a sediment pre-filter. The pre-filter is a standard 10", 5-micron spun cartridge.

Stage 1. Is a blend of KDF-55, a zinc and copper oxidation media for the removal of chlorine, and a crushed mineral filter stone. This combination creates an active filtration method. By removing chlorine and pre-conditioning the water, this stage allows for maximum performance from the final 2 stages.

Stage 2. Contains: Type 3036, 20x50 US mesh coconut shell activated carbon. This high activity carbon is specifically designed for high efficiency water purification, for the maximum reduction of synthetic chemicals. (VOCs, THMs, and SOCs.) 3036 is certified to NSF standard 61 & 42.

Stage 3. Contains a 12/40 mesh bituminous carbon medium as a final polishing stage to enhance purity, clarity and taste. This medium is recognized by the U.S. E.P.A. as the “Best known technology for water filtration”.

Caveat Emptor!

Every week, we receive phone calls and emails from online shoppers who, for one reason or another, have purchased their Aquasana filters from an American online store. After all, American vendors, for the most part, promise "Free Shipping anywhere in North America". Imagine just how surprised our cross-border shoppers were when, in order to have their packages released, they were asked to pay, depending on the size of their order, anywhere between $40 and $60 in various border fees. All cross-border orders are subject to GST, Provincial Tax, brokerage and/or handling fees, etc. You will have no choice, but to pay, or refuse delivery. The vendor can't be held resposible for what Canada Border Services Agency does, so you'll be left with no recourse. So much for "Free Shipping".
